We are learning about multiples, factors, prime numbers, and composite numbers.  

Science
We are finishing up our sky science unit and are moving on to evidence and investigation. We are starting by learning about observations and inferences and using them in a variety of circumstances.

Social
We have been learning about the role of local government in our community. After creating our own model community, we used Google maps to research hamlets, villages, towns, and cities in Alberta. We then wrote three paragraphs about the services and events we feel are important in communities. We also wrote about what makes a good elected representative. We will now be researching examples of public services in Calgary and how they impact different stakeholder groups in our city.  

LA
After having a guest indigenous storyteller visit, we have been learning about legends and ways to summarize and tell stories using images. Students have used images to summarize Maniac Magee and the novels we are reading individually. We also used pixel art to represent important events from our own lives.
