Social
The class has been working with groups to research regions of Canada. Yesterday we practiced summarizing and presenting the information we found. We used the information to create a region of Canada info document. We then used our research and that document to create our own multiple-choice questions which were used to make a Region of Canada Kahoot.
Science
We did a couple of hands-on experiments involving the properties of air. We have made balloon rockets, used a hair dryer and Bernulies Principle to suspend pingpong balls in mid-air, used chemical reactions (baking soda and vinegar) to blow up balloons and made our own scales to measure the mass of air in a balloon.
Language Arts
Students had the chance to practice presenting their Giver Final Projects. We will use our public speaking rubric to complete a self-reflection and set goals for improving as public speakers and active listeners.
Math
We have been working on classifying angles, Drawing lines of symmetry, and measuring angles. We will continue to practice using protractors to measure angles before we start drawing our own angles and shapes to match certain criteria.
