 What we are working on: LA  We continued reading "The Giver" and completed the "I Wonder" activity and the first "Weekly Thinking Page" for the first 3 chapters of "The Giver". Copies of these sheets and a digital copy of the book can be found in the classwork section on Google Classroom or linked below.  Friday 5 We completed our Friday 5 activity which can also be found in the classwork section or linked below. This should be completed and shared with our parents so they can see some of the work we are doing with estimating, rounding and adding large numbers.  Orange Shirt Day/ Home Journal  We watched a number of videos, read books, listened to music, and discussed our experiences with Orange Shirt Day. In our "Home Journal," we complete an "I wonder, see, feel, know" journaling activity.   Welcome to Mr. Parker's Grade 5/6 Blog This is where you can see a brief summary of what we are working on in class. I will also post important dates and reminders. I will post at least once a week but may also post more often if additional information is needed.  Students should also share their username and password with parents to access our Google Classroom.
